Tribe Test Engineer 

Location: Brussels

Role Description:

As a Tribe Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in enhancing the testing capabilities of various squads. You will collaborate closely with other Tribe Test Engineers to define the test strategy and increase test maturity. Your responsibilities will include understanding the unique needs and challenges of different teams, defining and implementing the test approach based on maturity assessments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, test automation, and collaboration across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with different squads to assess current testing practices, tools, and workflows.

  • Define and implement a customized test roadmap for each squad, focusing on best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Provide support to squads in the adoption and integration of test practices and test automation.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate teams on testing methodologies.
  • Monitor and review the progress of each squad's test journey, providing guidance and adjustments as needed.
  • Align with all involved parties and perform proper reporting.

Existing Platform Covers:

  • Testing strategy

  • Testing tools: unit testing, test automation, service virtualization, performance testing, test management
  • Feature quality ownership of cross-squad/Tribe initiatives

Language Requirements:

Very good knowledge of English. French and/or Dutch is a plus.

Education:

Master or equivalent by experience

Telework Expectation:

50% on-site & 50% homeworking

Required Experience / Knowledge:

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience

  • Experience in implementation of test strategy, test automation
  • Thorough experience working in or with Agile development teams
  • Hands-on experience with Octane, Java programming, Git version control, Cucumber with Junit, Selenium WebDriver, Page Object Model, and test automation best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and mentor teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
