Medior Java Software Engineer

Office Requirement: At least 3 to 4 days per week in Antwerp region

Job Description:

As a Software Developer, you will collaborate with other scrum team members on various projects. Your responsibilities will include participating in scrum planning sessions by analyzing the work to be done, implementing new functionality or code refactors based on detailed specifications and mock-ups, and working closely with other development team members and UX analysts. You will discuss technical designs with senior team members when necessary, write unit tests for newly developed functionality, and perform code reviews. Daily reporting on work progress and focusing on bug fixing when needed are also part of your role.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Software Engineering.
• Experience in designing and developing complex software applications in a Software Developer role.
• Proficiency in Java (OpenJDK 21).
• Additional experience with .NET is considered a strong advantage.
• Solid knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, PostgreSQL, and RESTful APIs.
• Skills in Angular 20, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Ability to work independently and know when to escalate or discuss challenges or identified issues.
• Fluency in English.
