For 1 of our clients we are looking for a Senior Functional/Technical Analyst (+10 years of experience).

- Startup in June or September
- 2 days / week onsite Brussels North 
- ENG + 1 national language
- At least 10 years of experience 

The senior technical analyst is responsible for:

understanding and discussing the business analysis and coordinating its reception process with the help of the architect, the lead developer and the service manager.
He / she translates the business analyzes into functional and (especially) technical analyzes, intended for the development and test teams. For this he / she pays special attention to the digitization principles, user comfort, coordination with testers and developers, and feasible steps. He / she defends his / her analysis during the agile refinement ceremony.
He / she must guarantee that the customer has a realistic vision of the results to be delivered, that the developer has a full understanding of the needs to be realized and of the technical modalities of their implementation, and that the tester clearly identifies the elements to be validated based on business and technical acceptance criteria. He / she therefore produces a number of “sprintable ” tickets / cards, ie acceptable to the developers and available within one sprint (three weeks).
In case of production problems or User Acceptance Tests, the analyst participates in the problem definition and determination of the corrections.

Way of working:  

The analyst must qualify for test data sets and contribute to the diagnosis of application problems. The analyzes produced must be in line with the interface specifications and the architecture strategy. Depending on needs, the senior functional analyst may be given management responsibilities, both for team coordination and project management. This role is part of an Advanced Technical Context and requires demonstrable fluency in a complex technological ecosystem. An essential component of the role is anticipation, organizational flexibility and interteam communication.

Project:  

The consultant will participate in a strategic project for the rewriting of a monolithic application to a theoretically substantiated microservices structure, the integration of modules developed outside ICT, as well as the development of new functionalities. This application includes debt management, payment allocation, debt follow-up, recovery management, generation of documents and exchanges with external partners (banks ...).

The analyst will work on topics such as: debt and debt management – workload distribution – user interface – exchanges with partners

 

Soft Skills:

Transfer / communicate knowledge, including to junior analysts.     
Prepare and maintain technical documentation to guide the development team (developers and testers).
Knowledge of English and at least one of the official languages of the country.
You show team spirit and leadership qualities and are able to coach and challenge analysts in the pillar. 
Be able to assume the role of project manager.
Demonstrable experience with projects implemented using Agile / Scrum methodologies.

 

Technical Skills:

Have thorough knowledge of business process modeling, UML and BPMN methods, and functional and technical analysis.
Be able to clearly describe the desired and existing processes.
Be able - as a member of a group - to estimate a development cost / time.
Look up strong expertise in opportunity analysis and strategic vision. Have the essential ability to ask critical questions, propose alternative solutions and act consistently pragmatically in the public interest of the project, ensuring optimization of results, deadlines, budget and quality.
Have a basic knowledge of data processing to request information to understand valid or error processing.
Practical knowledge of tools: Jira, Confluence, Git, Postman, SoapUI, SQL client, developer tools for browsers, modeling and design tools (UML, Seq, DataModel).
"Have at least a basic knowledge of test methodologies.
Have experience with a microservices-based ecosystem.
Has solid experience in sequencing to specify the interactions between components in synchronous / asynchronous architectures.
Has expertise in drawing up interface contracts (synchronous and asynchronous).
Skill in data model design: Defining, maintaining and ensuring data model consistency (control of SQL queries).
