Part-Time DPO Coach

    Function:

    We are looking for a person capable of supporting our DPO who is junior. The function is mainly oriented back office and consists of accompanying, training, and coaching the DPO in the execution of their missions. The candidate must be able to provide operational expertise, offer a structured framework, help with skills development and ensure methodological follow-up, always in French.
    Key points:
    • Support and accompany a junior DPO in her daily tasks.
    • Mainly back office role, focused on consulting, structuring and preparing the work.
    • Ability to coach and train the DPO in order to strengthen its autonomy.
    • Provide clear explanations in French, adapted to the DPO level.
    • Provide methodological, organisational and operational support.
    • Contribute to the professionalization of the service and the quality of the deliverables.
    • Integration of GDPR requirements into the specifications.
    • Drafting and analysis of contractual clauses relating to data processing
    • Management of data controller relationships / subcontractors / joint controllers
    • Analysis of the risks related to IT outsourcing
    • Compliance of data processing agreements (DPA)
    • Validation and structuring of the processing register
    • Formalization of internal data protection policies
    • Analysis of critical data flows
    • Possible interaction with the Data Protection Authority
    • Support to the management in defining the scope and responsibilities

    Education:

    - Master’s degree in law with specialization in data protection/ public law
    - DPO Certification

    Technical skills:

    - Perfect mastery of French and Dutch
    - In-depth knowledge of the GDPR
    -;Capacity for complex legal analysis
    - Understanding of Belgian institutional issues

    Soft skills:

    - Rigor, independence and critical thinking
    - Excellent interpersonal skills
    - Ability to clearly explain complex concepts in French.
    - Ability to adapt one’s communication to the other’s profile and learning pace.
    - Talent for creating a motivating and safe learning environment.
    - Ability to give constructive and development-oriented feedback.
    - Empathetic, patient and supportive approach.
    - Sense of pedagogy and ability to transmit knowledge in an accessible manner.
