Medior C# /.NET Developer

Responsibilities:

• Backend Development Leadership: Drive development within .NET projects, delivering robust backend services and APIs for modern web applications.
• Performance & Reliability: Oversee evaluation, improvement, and monitoring of backend performance, ensuring reliability, stability, and maintainability.
• API & System Integration: Collaborate closely with frontend, architecture, and integration teams to deliver smooth, real-time data flows across systems.
• Technical Implementation Excellence: Translate technical requirements into clean, efficient, and scalable code, while helping define coding standards and best practices for the team.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Ensure high quality through automated testing, code reviews, and continuous integration practices. Support the team in building secure and maintainable solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of the latest trends in .NET and backend engineering, helping the team adopt new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Communication & Mentorship: Share progress, highlight risks, and solve problems proactively. Mentor junior developers and cultivate a collaborative engineering culture.

Requirements:

• Experience & Expertise: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in C# /.NET backend development. Strong command of .NET 6+, .NET Core, Web API, and RESTful services. Experience with relational databases (SQL Server) and ORM frameworks (EF Core). Experience with CMS platforms is a nice-to-have (e.g., Sitecore, Umbraco, Optimizely).
• Technical Skills: Solid understanding of application architecture, design patterns, and modern development principles. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git). Strong grasp of performance optimization and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ways of Working: Solid grounding in Agile methodologies and iterative delivery. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive, learning-focused team culture. Strong multitasking abilities and adaptability to dynamic work environments.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex topics clearly. Proficiency in Dutch or French + English is required.
• Additional: Experience providing L2/L3 support in a production environment. Willingness to be on on-demand 24/7 standby for critical production incidents.
