Senior Buyer - Technology, Cloud, and Software Procurement

Role Description:
The Senior Buyer will be responsible for ensuring that software suppliers are reliable, deliver on time, and provide the best commercial conditions. This role requires compliance with group rules and best practices in software contracting. The Senior Buyer will implement the IT procurement strategy, achieve savings through negotiated contracts, monitor supplier risks, and contribute to cross-category sourcing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Implement the Group’s IT procurement strategy within the organization.
- Ensure savings through global or local contract implementation, aligning with internal customer needs regarding cost, quality, lead-times, and service levels.
- Monitor supplier risk within the portfolio.
- Contribute to cross-category sourcing and global process initiatives.
- Actively participate in supplier management processes, including steering committees and performance assessments.

Education:
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree
Required Experience/Knowledge:
- At least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in Technology and Software Procurement.
- Mandatory technical experience with software projects and asset management.
- Strong digital affinity and understanding of commercial and contractual models in the IT market for Software, SaaS, and cloud computing.
- Ability to challenge internal client needs with a critical analysis approach.
- Strong project management and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of risk analysis, financial analysis, legal, contractual, and compliance aspects.
Preferred Business Experience:
- Strong understanding of software dynamics and key players.
- Expertise in software contracting and metrics for cloud environments.
- Negotiation and project management skills.
- Deal shaping and closing capabilities.
- Knowledge of business administration and procurement tools like Ivalua or Ariba.
