Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced professional to enhance platform resiliency within a complex Oracle-based environment on Redhat Linux v8 OS. The role involves integrating applications with existing database infrastructure, updating database configuration, and increasing resiliency, starting with Oracle RAC. The successful candidate will work closely with development teams to ensure robust, secure, and well-configured solutions. This position requires strong hands-on technical skills and collaboration with application developers, database infrastructure teams, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Integrate applications with existing Oracle database infrastructure (Oracle v19), including database configuration and coordination with DB infrastructure teams.
• Contribute to resiliency improvements, focusing on Oracle RAC configuration, behavior, and failover aspects.
• Collaborate with application developers, participate in technical and integration reviews, and validate configuration and deployment choices.
• Develop and maintain installation and operational scripts using ksh and Python.
• Perform application installations and configuration on Linux Red Hat environments (RHEL v8).
• Support system and application integration activities, ensuring reliable interaction between applications, databases, and underlying platforms.
• Investigate and support production issues through log analysis, root cause analysis, and coordination with operations teams.

Technical Skills (Required):

• Knowledge and hands-on experience integrating applications with Oracle (Oracle v19), including database configuration and coordination with DB infrastructure teams.
• Understanding of Oracle RAC fundamentals (cluster behavior, failover concepts, basic troubleshooting).
• Strong experience in system and application integration, ensuring correct interaction between applications, databases, and underlying platforms.
• Experience with Linux Red Hat (application installation, scripting, troubleshooting) - RHEL v8.
• Experience with ksh scripting (application installation, operational scripts).
• Basic to intermediate Python programming skills.
• Ability to investigate and support production issues (log analysis, root cause analysis, coordination with operations teams).
• Ability to work closely with application developers, including participation in technical reviews, integration design discussions, and validation of deployment/configuration choices.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, TLS, firewalls, load balancers).
• Knowledge of PKI / SSL (system certificate setup and maintenance).
• Exposure to Ansible (automation, deployments).
• Experience with Kibana / Elastic / OASIS for log investigation.
• Knowledge of Oracle Data Guard (replication, failover concepts).
• Knowledge of Oracle Database Vault (security controls, access management).

Candidate Experience:

• 5 years of hands-on experience integrating applications with Oracle.
• Strong experience in system and application integration.
• Understanding of Oracle RAC fundamentals.
• Experience with Linux Red Hat and ksh scripting.
• Python programming skills.
• Ability to work closely with application developers.
