Job Description:

We are looking for a Service Desk Engineer to join our client's IT team. The role involves participating as a member of the first line team on the Service Desk troubleshooting level. The candidate will handle day-to-day service desk tasks and ticket management, ensuring effective follow-up of incident tickets. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for improving the knowledge base and creating practical checklists and troubleshooting steps based on lessons learned and information from second and third line specialists. Interaction with second and third line personnel to enhance procedures and documentation is also required.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in first line Service Desk troubleshooting.
• Handle tasks related to PC Desk/Office Assistance as documented.
• Manage service desk tasks and ticket handling.
• Improve the knowledge base and develop practical checklists and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaborate with second and third line teams to enhance procedures and documentation.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven professional experience in a Service Desk team (minimum 5 years).
• IT background and education are mandatory.
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Windows Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Experience with Atlassian Jira (or similar) and Atlassian Confluence (or similar).
• Experience in drafting Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) and documentation in English.
• Certification in ITIL is a plus.

Desired Skills:

• Windows workstation troubleshooting and configuration.
• Mobile phones & Teams phones troubleshooting and configuration is a plus.
• Other professional experiences in another IT function is a plus.

General Skills:

• Team player with excellent communication skills.
• Eager to learn and proactive.
• Very well-organized and structured.
• Bilingual in Dutch/French with a good level of English (writing).
