Senior UI/UX Designer
Start Date: June 1, 2026
End Date: December 31, 2026 (with possible extension)
Responsibilities:
- Design user-friendly web and mobile applications using modern front-end frameworks.
- Develop both simple and complex input and visualization screens based on business requirements.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, backend developers, and project managers on various projects.
- Work with domain experts and business analysts.
- Establish and document general UI/UX design principles and guidelines in alignment with the global UI/UX team.
- Design user flows and low-fidelity wireframes.
- Participate in the creation of user stories.
- Create high-fidelity mock-ups and/or prototypes.
- Develop user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, customer feedback, and usability findings.
- Communicate with product and engineering teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Ability to work independently and in a team context.
- Extensive experience in converting functional requirements into screen designs and user flows.
- Experience in creating designs and user flows in cooperation with product teams, business analysts, and engineering teams.
- Proficient in creating mockups that enhance engineering team productivity.
- Ability to motivate design and user flow decisions and present them to various audiences.
- Excellent knowledge of UI/UX design patterns and the ability to share this knowledge with engineering teams.
- Experience in designing complex input and visualization screens.
- Proficiency in prototyping/design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Axure, Adobe CC, with a focus on Figma.
- Experience with web, mobile, and responsive design.
- Experience in creating a consistent user experience and user stories.
- Experience in user research, user testing, and creating user personas.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Inquisitive and analytical mindset.
- Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-functional environment.
- Customer and end-user focused.
- Excellent oral and UX documenting skills.
- Conceptual thinking and ability to identify information gaps.
- Strong relationship-building and teamwork skills.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Atlassian Tools (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo).
- Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and CSS-based technologies.
- Familiarity with limitations of front-end frameworks such as Angular & React.
- Understanding of the entire web application development process.
- Awareness of micro front-end solutions.
Language Proficiency:
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Dutch is a plus
Work Policy:
- Required to work in the office for at least 3 days a week. Full-time office work may be required starting January.
