Solution Architect

Location: Antwerpen
Responsibilities:
- Design and govern solutions and architectures in complex, multi-system landscapes.
- Define and evolve integration architectures using APIs, messaging, and service-based patterns.
- Design and optimize end-to-end solution models, including long-running processes.
- Support legacy modernization, consolidation, and migration initiatives.
- Contribute to identity, access, and security architectures, including compliance-driven contexts.
- Align business processes, information flows, and technical solutions.
- Support exception handling, resilience, and operational stability for mission-critical flows.
- Provide architectural guidance during delivery, release, and production support.
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners.
- Support RFI/RFP and supplier selection activities where relevant.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect.
- Extensive background in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with integration architectures (REST APIs, messaging, ESB, service orchestration).
- Experience with workflow/BPMN-based process modeling and orchestration.
- Solid understanding of security and IAM concepts within enterprise landscapes.
- Experience operating in production-grade environments with high reliability requirements.
- Ability to work across analysis, design, delivery, and operational phases.
- Comfortable interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desired Skills and Certifications:
- Exposure to cloud and hybrid architectures.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps-oriented environments.
- Experience with vendor management and sourcing processes.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, ArchiMate, similar).
Growth & Development:
- A willingness to further develop architectural modeling capabilities (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate or similar enterprise architecture frameworks).
- An interest in strengthening cloud architecture expertise, including progression towards certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).
- Continuous learning in Azure fundamentals, including App Services, Functions, Storage, API Management, and identity management (Entra ID/Azure AD).
- A proactive mindset towards DevOps maturity, governance, and operational excellence.
Formal certifications are not mandatory, but a willingness to deepen and broaden expertise in areas that strengthen overall architecture and platform maturity is highly valued.
