Role: Application Owner
Responsibilities:
- Support:
- Act as an escalation point for incidents, problems, and service requests within the application portfolio.
- Manage functional escalations from first and second-line support, actively supporting operational teams to provide timely solutions to incidents, problems, service requests, and structural issues within the application portfolio.
- Document implemented solutions.
- Provide necessary support before/during/after production releases.
- Application Portfolio Management:
- Assume end-to-end responsibility for managing and monitoring applications within the assigned portfolio, ensuring optimal functionality, continuity, lifecycle, availability, and integration with other applications.
- Advise Business Process Owners and IT Management on necessary projects to develop and realize the application portfolio vision, bridging the gap between IT and the final product actively.
- Create the work backlog for the application portfolio, prioritize based on the strategic roadmap, manage change implementations accordingly in collaboration with the Business Process Owner.
- Coordinate change implementations in sprints and versions, ensuring engagement of all necessary resources to complete the tasks on time, within budget, and with agreed-upon quality.
- Act as a point of contact for Business Process Owners and IT collaborators for the assigned application portfolio.
- Maintain contacts with relevant suppliers for new and current versions within the portfolio.
- Manage and coordinate analysis of issues within your application portfolio.
- Supplier & Contract Management (RFP’s)
- Database experience (SQL, Oracle) is advantageous.
Conformity Criteria:
- Fluent in English (B2)
- Fluent in French and/or Dutch (C2)
- At least five years of experience in supporting packaged software
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role (Application owner, functional or technical analyst, developer, etc.) within a support team.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent relevant experience (minimum 5 years)
- Onsite work 2 times a week
Evaluation Criteria:
- Experience with release governance, incident management, and backlog prioritization
- Relevance and depth of experience in coordination with security, architecture, infrastructure, or compliance stakeholders (lifecycle, remediation actions,..)
- Experience operating business-critical applications within governed IT environments
- Degree of autonomy demonstrated in effectively coordinating business, IT, support, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment, issue resolution, decision-making, and successful application lifecycle execution.
