Project Description

The project concerns the development of Justine, a software application for the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Road Safety, focused on automated fine processing. It is integrated with a platform responsible for the handling, dispatching, and collection of fines.

The objective is to develop a new case management system for the automated processing of traffic fines in Belgium. The project aims to ensure uniform prosecution across all traffic prosecution offices in Belgium, which will increase the identification rate and enable the prosecution of repeat offenders over time.

Profile Description

As a Senior Full Stack .NET Angular Developer, you will work on the Just Fine application and later on the 67 ter application. You will contribute to both back-end and front-end development and collaborate closely with functional analysts and solution architects.

You will perform code reviews, assist in bug fixing, participate in grooming sessions, and estimate workload feasibility, user stories, and technical designs. You will ensure proper documentation and coach junior team members.

You work according to coding best practices and apply clean architecture principles. You write the necessary unit tests and ensure that the application remains secure, user-friendly, and maintainable.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in at least one national language and a good command of English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong technical expertise in Angular, .NET frameworks, C#, ASP.NET, and related technologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with version control tools.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with databases such as SQL Server and ORM tools such as Entity Framework.
• Able to work independently as well as within a team.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on delivering high-quality work.

Required Technical Experience

• Recent Angular versions: components, services, modules, lazy loading, routing, guards, interceptors.
• Advanced knowledge of TypeScript, HTML5, SCSS/CSS3, and responsive design.
• Reactive programming using RxJS.
• Certification in .NET development (C# based).
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) or AWS.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
• Knowledge of software development best practices.

Testing & Quality

• Unit testing.
• End-to-end testing using tools such as Cypress or Protractor.
• Linting, code coverage, and technical documentation.

Integration & Tooling

• Working with REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Version control using Git (Git Flow), Angular CLI, Webpack.
• CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
