Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Functional Analyst to join our Data Team. The successful candidate will work on various use cases related to our Data Platform.

Responsibilities:

• Functional Analysis & Business Understanding:
  • Serve as a liaison between Business, Finance, and Data teams.
  • Analyze business needs and translate them into clear functional requirements.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end business processes.
• Impact Analysis:
  • Conduct thorough impact analysis of business changes, new requests, or system evolutions.
  • Identify impacts on data flows, reports, KPIs, and financial figures.
  • Ensure alignment across upstream and downstream systems.
  • Maintain the functional integrity of financial closing applications.
• Data Quality:
  • Ensure high data quality and consistency across reports.
  • Investigate data issues, discrepancies, and anomalies.
  • Perform root cause analysis and follow up on resolutions.
  • Contribute to defining and monitoring data quality controls and KPIs.
• Functional Testing & Validation:
  • Define, document, and execute functional test plans and test cases.
  • Support and coordinate business testing (BAT/UAT).
  • Validate data and reports from a functional and financial perspective.
  • Ensure all changes are properly validated before deployment.
• Documentation & Knowledge Management:
  • Maintain high-quality and up-to-date documentation.
  • Ensure proper knowledge transfer to Run teams.
  • Contribute to building a robust and auditable documentation framework.
• Collaboration & Support:
  • Work closely with stakeholders across Business, Finance, and IT.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to clarify requirements.
  • Provide data-backed insights to support business decisions.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in SAP ISU (Invoicing) and financial closing processes.
• Strong background in Functional Analysis and DWH Modelling.
• Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with Power BI and Agile methodology.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, AWS, Data Platform concepts, Great Expectations, and Collibra.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• 5-7 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Dutch or French and English.
