Job Description:

As a Data Compliance Expert within the Central Data Governance Office, you will lead the review and redesign of data privacy and compliance processes and implement them in a dedicated compliance tool. You will support and strengthen data compliance management activities, including providing support to the RFP process for the selection of a data governance tool for data compliance. You will work closely with the CISO department, the DPO, the Risk teams, and the privacy community.

Conformity Criteria:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in GDPR-related projects in organizations with over 1,000 employees.
• Proven experience in at least 4 of the following domains: Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), Data Governance and Data Compliance roles and bodies, Data Security, Privacy-by-design, Data Retention, Data Compliance frameworks (GDPR/NIS2/EU AI Act).
• Proven knowledge of GDPR and at least one of the following: NIS2 or EU AI Act.
• Fluent communication in Dutch, French, and English: Dutch or French as a mother tongue or at least C level, the other language at least B2 level, and English at least B2 level.
• Willing and able to work on-site at least 2 days/week in Brussels.
• Master’s degree or equivalent through relevant experience in Data Compliance / GRC domains.
• DPO certification issued by a recognized certification body (e.g., IAPP, ISACA, or equivalent).

Evaluation Criteria:

• Experience in coordinating compliance or data governance projects, with a proven track record as a Compliance Expert / Project Manager.
• Depth of experience in data protection awareness and change initiatives.
• Experience in analytical activities related to data compliance, such as risk assessments, regulatory analysis, and reporting.
• Involvement in GRC and regulatory risk management processes.
• Experience with data compliance tools, including requirements, deployment, configuration, and adoption.
• ISO 27k/42K or equivalent certification is a strong plus.
