IT Functional Analyst

Location: Brussels

Mission Context:

The Functional Analyst will identify business problems and requirements, mapping out potential solutions for integration into the enterprise production environment. Responsibilities include investigating costs and benefits, designing detailed solutions, and defining data and process support.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation Phase:
  • Collaborate with business analysts and clients to propose solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and strategy.
  • Ensure client adherence to enterprise rules and standards, including architectural and security standards.
  • Work with architects to establish architecture.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, asset managers, and product owners.
  • Coordinate between clients, business analysts, and asset teams to ensure unified understanding of client needs.
• Elaboration Phase:
  • Develop functional elaboration of chosen solutions, translating business requirements into detailed functional requirements.
  • Align functional responsibilities with involved assets.
  • Design application solutions, detailing impacts on application components as per architecture.
  • Specify requirements with technical teams.
• Construction Phase:
  • Oversee development and testing to ensure alignment with functional specifications.
  • Provide technical definitions for components supported by different teams.
  • Support suppliers during development, integration, and assembly testing.
  • Analyze defects during the test phase.
  • Support release and deployment teams.
  • Provide ad hoc support post-installation, analyze production incidents, and maintain documentation.

Language Requirements:

• Proficient in English.
• Knowledge of Dutch and French is advantageous.

Education/Certification/Telework Expectation:

50% on-site and 50% homeworking.

Required Experience/Knowledge:

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Functional and technical knowledge of existing IT systems.
• Java knowledge, XSD/XSLT.
• Understanding of technical domains.
• Familiarity with analysis methodology, API understanding, Swaggers, and UML diagrams.
• Experience with AI for analysis is preferable.
• Practical experience with Scrum.
