Functional Analyst

Location: Gosselies + Remote

Languages Required: French (C2) and English (B1)

Start Date: 01/07/2026

End Date: 31/12/2026 (with possible extension)

On-Site Requirements: Presence at the Gosselies site for at least 2 days per week is mandatory. Additional on-site days may be requested based on departmental needs. A driver's license and vehicle are required due to limited public transport access.

Role Context:

The Functional Analyst will join the Factory Services Markets team, responsible for applications used in reporting and processing meter data. The role involves project lifecycle involvement and application maintenance, particularly focusing on MDM Smart (EnergyIP) integration.

Primary Responsibilities:

Application Maintenance:

  • Manage production incidents.
  • Capture business requirements.
  • Write user stories for bug resolution or changes.
  • Conduct end-to-end system tests.
  • Describe errors and liaise with development providers.
  • Support the business team and incident management.

Project Involvement:

  • Propose solutions to business needs.
  • Document and validate functional and technical documentation.
  • Perform end-to-end tests on target systems.
  • Correct bugs identified during testing.
  • Work on requirement integration for changes.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to formalize functional analysis using UML diagrams.

  • Knowledge of data models and databases (SQL Oracle) - 3 years.
  • Experience with EnergyIP 9.0 or 9.1.
  • Proven experience in testing methodologies and techniques (integration and functional).
  • Proven experience as a functional analyst - 5 years.
  • Experience with testing management tools (HPQC or equivalent).
  • Experience with backlog management tools (Azure DevOps or equivalent) - 3 years.
  • Experience working for a DSO/Energy supplier in Belgium.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of data flows, APIs, and Azure system integrations (APIM).

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Winscp (SFTP/file transfer and flexsync).
  • High-level knowledge of Kafka (Confluent).
  • Knowledge of Putty.

  • Curious with a strong learning ability.
  • Excellent synthesis and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
