About the Role
As a Data Modeller, you will work at the intersection of Risk, Compliance, Data Governance, Architecture, and Technology. You will translate complex risk management concepts into sustainable conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support reporting, risk management, governance, advanced analytics, and future AI use cases. You will contribute to the design of an integrated data model for domains such as Operational Risk, Compliance Risk, IT Risk, ... .
Key Responsibilities
- Data Modelling: Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Develop canonical models.
- Business Activities: Ensure consistency across operational systems, data lakes, reporting platforms, and governance tools.
- Business & Risk Analysis: Work closely with business experts and IT. Translate business terminology and risk management concepts into clear and reusable data structures. Facilitate modelling workshops and challenge ambiguities in business definitions. Build and maintain a common business vocabulary and data glossary.
- Data Governance: Support data governance initiatives by defining ownership, metadata, lineage, and traceability. Ensure models align with governance standards, quality requirements, and regulatory expectations. Contribute to the documentation and management of critical data elements and risk indicators.
Mandatory Skills
- Proven experience in conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling.
- Strong understanding of data modelling methodologies and standards.
- Ability to bridge business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with governance platforms such as Collibra or equivalent tooling.
- Knowledge of risk & control frameworks, KRIs, incidents, and controls management.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based analytics environments.
