Senior Business Analyst
Start Date: Immediate
End Date: End of the year, with possible extension
Location: Brussels
Key Responsibilities:
- Elicit, analyze, and document business needs and user requirements.
- Produce functional analyses, user stories, use cases, and other analysis deliverables.
- Translate business requirements into clear and detailed functional specifications.
- Act as the liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and propose optimized solutions.
- Collaborate with architects and development teams to validate functional designs.
- Define test scenarios, write test cases, and support validation activities.
- Support defect analysis and root cause investigations.
- Model and document business processes.
- Support knowledge transfer and transition-to-operations activities.
- Report risks, issues, and progress to project management.
- Facilitate workshops and alignment sessions with stakeholders.
- Contribute to backlog refinement and requirements analysis activities.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Strong experience in requirements gathering and functional analysis.
- Proven experience in business process modeling and process improvement.
- Experience with test planning, test case creation, and validation activities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
- Experience collaborating with development teams, architects, and third-party vendors.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in both English and French.
Desired Skills:
- Experience within operational domains.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture and process modeling methodologies.
- Experience with tools such as Confluence, Jira, Bizzdesign, or similar.
