For a client we are seeking a Senior Security Engineer.

Project Duration: The initial contract is until the end of 2024, with quarterly extensions possible.
Location: The role requires 3 days on-site and offers the flexibility of 2 days remote work.

Responsibilities

• Operate Checkpoint/Palo Alto firewalls adhering to no downtime principles.
• Manage and execute projects aimed at enhancing network security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve firewall issues within a production environment.
• Address issues with adjacent network devices as needed.
• Design and implement security measures to safeguard the IT environment from external threats.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in network security.
• Extensive knowledge of routing protocols, specifically OSPF.
• Profound understanding of Checkpoint firewalls.
• In-depth knowledge of L2/L3 networking.

Desired Skills and Certifications

• CCSA certification or equivalent.
• CCSE certification or equivalent.
• CCSM certification is considered a plus.
• CCME certification is considered a plus.
• Experience with Linux and Windows servers in a network setting.

Language Proficiency

Ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing.

Additional Requirements

• Experience with maintaining and debugging network equipment.
• Candidates should be either direct freelancers or in-house employees.
