Network Security Engineer Job Opportunity

For a client, we are seeking a Network Security Engineer to join a dynamic team responsible for managing, deploying, and maintaining security devices. This role offers the opportunity to work on core network projects, including deploying Cisco SDA solutions.

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months (with possible extension based on project evolution)

Responsibilities:

• Manage and deploy security equipment such as Firewalls, Load Balancers, WAFs, Reverse Proxies, VPNs, etc.
• Work on core network projects, including the deployment of Cisco SDA.
• Determine security infrastructure requirements to deliver secure solutions based on user and system needs.
• Provide planning for infrastructure readiness.
• Write and process RFPs for hardware security solutions.
• Provide support for technical issues with software/hardware.
• Initiate corrective actions and administer the security infrastructure.
• Offer third-line support and project follow-up.
• Document, prepare, and deploy solutions and projects, ensuring clear commitments with colleagues and team management.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Civil/industrial engineering or University Master's degree.
• Minimum 5 years of expertise in WAF, Load Balancing, and Reverse Proxy F5 (APM, ASM, LTM).
• Professional experience in Security Network engineering, including installation, management, and troubleshooting of security equipment like Checkpoint and Palo Alto Firewall, ASA VPN.
• Ability to create and follow an RFP process.
• Very good knowledge of network technology (BGP, OSPF, spanning-tree).

Desired Skills and Certifications:

• Knowledge of network equipment like HP Procurve.
• Experience in Cloud network management, especially Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with Windows (MS Office Tools, Active Directory, etc.).

Language Proficiency Requirements:

• English (Good speaking, reading, and writing skills)
• Dutch (Good speaking, reading, and writing skills preferred)
• French (Good speaking, reading, and writing skills preferred)
