For a client, we are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team within the Cyber Information Security Office Division (CISO). This role is crucial for implementing, operating, and managing access within the IT infrastructure, ensuring compliance with rigorous requirements.

Job Title: Senior Data Engineer
Project Duration: Start date 18/11/2024, with the initial term up to 12 months and potential for extension.
Location: On-site presence required for 4 days a month.
Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Lead Data Architect across multiple delivery Epics to design, develop, test, and launch data-related features.
• Create and document an integrated end-to-end IdAM data model promoting data consistency, integrity, and operational efficiency.
• Build database objects and manage data extraction/loading through scripting (PowerShell), ETL tooling (IBM Datastage), or API calls.
• Document solutions in standard templates and obtain sign-off from reviewers.
• Work closely with internal customers through formal testing stages to achieve sign-offs.
• Perform handovers with the IdAM Infrastructure Operations team, including training and knowledge sharing.
• Support migration to Production Infrastructure and provide warranty support.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 5+ years in Data Architecture, Data Modelling & Data Engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience with PowerShell in a Windows environment.
• 5+ years’ proficiency with SQL Server and Stored Procedures.
• Experience with full software development lifecycle product launches.
• 1-2 years with data dictionary, lineage, and management tools, preferably Collibra.
• 3+ years with ETL tools, IBM Datastage is a plus.
• Knowledge of database technologies like Oracle is beneficial.
• Familiarity with security mechanisms across various platforms and applications.
• Understanding of access control and management principles.

Desired Skills and Certifications:

• Professional certification in CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent is advantageous.
• Creative problem-solving skills with a focus on quality solutions.
• Ability to work proactively and adapt to continuous change.

Language Proficiency:

Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
