For a client we are seeking a Software Asset Manager - Expert

Telework Expectation: 50% on site & 50% homeworking

Role Description:

The Software Asset Manager plays a crucial role in enabling and activating the CIO & IT Tribes in their software asset management. This position involves analyzing current license and service contracts, optimizing license allocations, and managing software assets throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current license and service contracts to identify impacts and expected changes.
  • Classify different types of licenses, their characteristics, and statuses.
  • Determine the technical and functional scope of license management.
  • Optimize licenses in terms of quantity and type to align with actual needs.
  • Prepare inventory for allocating and delegating Entities.
  • Consolidate the inventory statement of active licenses.
  • Analyze data to determine rights used by each Entity.
  • Reconcile acquired licenses with needs based on usage.
  • Identify license imperfections and manage deviations.
  • Control the accuracy of active license inventory statements.
  • Conduct internal audits on the scope of software products.
  • Prepare and distribute reports on software compliance.
  • Communicate on SAM initiatives and share best practices within the Group.
  • Define and execute mitigating action plans for contractual non-compliances.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/Master degree or equivalent by experience.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience.

Required Experience:

 
  • Experience in IT, commercial, legal, or a mix of these contexts.
  • Knowledge of project management methods, processes, and tools.
  • Familiarity with enterprise standards.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication, networking, and negotiation skills.
  • Team player with a creative approach.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Language Proficiency:

  • Sound knowledge of English and at least one local language (Dutch or French).

This role requires a balance of on-site and remote work, with an expectation of 50% on-site presence and 50% homeworking.
