For a client, we are seeking a Financial & Business Control Officer 

Start Date: 11/2024
Duration: 6 months (with possible extension)

Location: Brussel

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the monthly closing process for products, adhering to BeGaap & IFRS 17 standards.
• Prepare forecasts and budgets, projecting expected results for each product over the next three years.
• Analyze individual product results to contribute to the overall financial outcome.
• Collaborate closely with the CFO and CIO departments, as well as operational entities.
• Manage continuous optimization projects, maintaining and developing efficient models.
• Provide comprehensive reports and explanations to management, regulatory bodies, and auditors.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience with products.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, specifically IFRS 17 (BBA – PAA methodology) and Be GAAP.

Technical Skills:

• Very good knowledge of various IT tools, including Excel, Word, Visual Basic, SAS.

Personal Skills:

• Flexibility and a result-oriented approach.
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills.

Language Proficiency:

• Good command of English (speaking, reading, writing).
• As a French or Dutch speaker, a good knowledge of the other language is required, with effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
