For a client, we are seeking a Senior Splunk Engineer.

Job Description:

We are looking for a senior consultant with advanced Splunk experience to join an internal team for the implementation of new monitoring requirements in Splunk. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on individual with in-depth knowledge of monitoring infrastructure components and applications using Splunk.

Responsibilities:

• Identify KPIs to monitor infrastructure components such as Storage systems, Network components, Operating systems (Windows and Linux), Virtual infrastructure, Servers, Databases, Time servers, Certificate infrastructure, and Applications.
• Implement application monitoring based on KPIs provided by application teams.
• Configure Splunk for data collection, alerting, and dashboard creation.
• Ensure all configurations adhere to best practices.
• Document monitoring requirements for infrastructure components and applications.
• Validate current Splunk configurations, propose improvements, and align monitoring with best practices.
• Analyze, implement, test, and deploy new monitoring requirements in Splunk.
• Maintain and update existing documentation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in the implementation of monitoring requirements with Splunk.
• Experience with configuration of data collections, alerting, and dashboard creation in Splunk.
• Experience with documentation, definition, and implementation of monitoring requirements with Splunk.
• Experience with monitoring Virtual infrastructure (SDDC, VMware, VRLI, and VRNI) and integration of Splunk Monitoring with vCenter.
• Certification in Splunk ("Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin" and/or "Splunk IT Service Intelligence Certified Admin").
• Fluency in English, and fluency in French or Dutch.
• Proven experience with ITIL processes.
• Experience with the concerned Splunk products: Splunk 9+, ITSI 4+, and ES 7+.
