For a client, we are seeking a skilled SAS Developer to join a dynamic team responsible for delivering critical inputs for the Financial Closing process. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-stakes environment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.

Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 31/12/25 (with the possibility of extension)

Location: Brussel

Responsibilities:

• Execute monthly SAS programs, including process instruction follow-up, KIR, bug fixing, and quality checks monitoring.
• Implement change requests on existing programs based on business requirements and conduct thorough testing.
• Review and update SAS programs documentation to maintain high standards of quality and technical accuracy.
• Identify and propose improvements to optimize the workflow and dependencies between programs.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Advanced proficiency in SAS Base (version 9.x), SAS Macros, and SAS SQL.
• Solid experience with relational database fundamentals and concepts (e.g., PK, FK, Indexes).
• Proven ability to work efficiently and independently, with a strong focus on timely delivery and a learning mentality.
• Experience in preparing and executing relevant testing, including defect registration and resolution.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with business process owners.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with performance tuning of SAS programs is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of SAP IS-U / CRM and SAP BI is a plus.
• Experience with TFS for code deployment is desirable.

Language Proficiency:

• Fluency in English is required.
• Proficiency in Dutch and/or French.
