Domain Architect Payments As a Domain Architect Payments you will become part of the Payments Architecture team. You will work in close collaboration with business & IT stakeholders on the realization of our target Payment Strategy & IT Stack • You are able to translate requirements into well-defined target Architecture solutions taking into account all relevant dimensions: Business strategy & vison, IT strategy & vison, Architecture principles, non-functionals, security, operations, ... • You are able to develop Architecture roadmaps with the right sense of pragmatism i.e. go target where feasible and define transition Architectures where required ... all in an Agile context. This is all about defining islands of stability during our journey from the as-is towards the target state. • You can act as a problem-solver, you are not afraid of challenges. You can take a step back, turn challenges into solutions by making use of your abstraction, conceptualization & Architecture skills. • You have a good set of communication skills to deal & interact with the different types of stakeholders i.e. from business, over IT managers, to Solution Architects & implementation squads. • You are a team player that brings together all the required stakeholders to define end-to-end Architectures: from our customer/employee facing channels till the back-end payment processing. • As part of the Payments Architecture team you are able to work autonomously, as well as in team with other Architects dependent on the size & scope of your Architecture assignment(s). As you become part of the CoE Architecture family, you will get support during all your Architecture challenges & assignments where needed. We will support you in growing your Architecture & Soft skills. • Knowledge of Banking business & Payment solutions is an advantage. • Knowledge of Architecture framework(s) (TOFAG, IAF, Zachmann, ...) is a plus. Future opportunities in your Architecture career within the CoE Architecture can be a Chapter Lead Architecture and/or Enterprise Architect.
The team You will be part of the Centre of Expertise Architecture, a team of about forty architects, led by the Belgium Chief Architect, and directly reporting to the CIO. You will be involved in strategic initiatives and have the ability to help us shaping the target IT landscape. The work is carried out in an Agile way of working with a significant international collaboration with teams present in other countries (mainly Amsterdam).
Domain Architect Customer data Role Overview: The Domain Architect for Customer Data Management and Onboarding will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of robust, scalable, and secure data management solutions. This role will ensure seamless customer onboarding experiences while maintaining data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
Architectural Leadership: In collaboration with the Enterprise Architect, develop and maintain the overall architecture for customer data management and onboarding processes.
Customer Data Strategy: Define and implement customer data management strategies, including data governance, data quality, and data integration.
Onboarding Processes: Design and optimize customer onboarding workflows to enhance user experience and operational efficiency (ie. Straight-Through Processes).
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, and business units, to align architectural solutions with business goals.
Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve data management and onboarding processes.
Compliance: Ensure all solutions comply with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation and guidelines.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to technical teams.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in data architecture, with a focus on customer data management and onboarding processes in the banking sector.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and data integration technologies. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, story telling, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
