For a client in Brussels, we are looking for a Security Engineer:

Start date: 2025
Regime: Full-time, 2 days per week in the office
Location: Brussels
Language Requirements: Dutch or French, with at least passive knowledge of the other language + English
Job Description:

As a Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in strengthening the organization's cybersecurity capabilities. You will be responsible for real-time identification, analysis and monitoring of security incidents using a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution based on Microsoft Sentinel.

Responsibilities:
- Improve cybersecurity capabilities to an acceptable level within established timeframes.
- Performing post-event and forensic analysis.
- Manage long-term storage of data for analysis.
- Integrate operational security logs of workstations and Microsoft Office 365 environment.
- Extend SIEM system coverage to other applications, servers or Microsoft Azure services.

Required Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- At least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with Microsoft Sentinel or similar SIEM solutions.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and network and information systems.
- Understanding of NIS2 legislation and implications
