For a client we are seeking a Senior Program Manager

Project Duration: January 1, 2025 – March 31, 2025, with the possibility of extension.
Location: Brussel.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Program Manager to guide the IT organization in achieving its strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in overseeing complex programs and will be responsible for ensuring that IT programs are value-driven.

Primary Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Monitor strategic objectives and benefits to be achieved.
  • Translate the value of IT programs into benefits & KPIs through a benefit map approach.
  • Create an overview of longer-term capacity needs based on generic profiles.
  • Set up a financial framework for uniform allocation and monitoring of budgets or financial resources.
  • Define and assess the impact of possible changes on the organization.
  • Plan different phases with an overview of initiatives, dependencies, risks, and assumptions.
  • Establish clear roles & responsibilities with associated governance.
  • Map and develop an approach to manage various stakeholders and provide reporting according to their needs.
  • Coordinate the program using a uniform methodology for the program and underlying projects.

Secondary Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Promote project management activities through positive and constructive networks.
  • Develop consistent communication with different stakeholders.

Technical Profile Requirements

  • Higher education (Master or Bachelor) or equivalent through experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in setting up and supervising programs.
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects and programs, managing substantive connections between them.
  • Applied experience within both waterfall and agile environments.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of MS Office (Powerpoint, Excel).
  • Very good knowledge of program management methodology (e.g., Benefit map, Program planning, stakeholder involvement, change management, capacity planning, risk & issue management).

  • Ability to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision.

  • Very good coaching & training skills.

Language Proficiencies

  • Native French or Dutch + knowledge of the other language.
  • Good knowledge of English.

The focus of the assignment will be on Portfolio Management and Program Roadmap creation.
