For a client we are seeking a Linux DevOps Engineer to join our team. This full-time role offers the option for partial remote working, with a primary focus on Datacenter management, orchestration, containerization, and cloud technologies.

Linux DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the Core Platform datacenter onsite and remotely.
• Prepare "Datacenter as a Service" (DaaS) functionality for both on-premise and AWS environments.
• Ensure unified deployment of VMs, EC2 instances, and Kubernetes environment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues to guarantee high availability and reliability.
• Utilize Atlassian based CI/CD tools for application and container rollouts.
• Maintain the stability, performance, and security of the platform.
• Support DevOps team members and customers adopting cloud-native methodologies.
• Document processes and procedures for peers and users within the global DevOps group.

Profile Requirements:

Hard Skills:

• Expert knowledge of Linux OS, preferably RedHat/CentOS OS family versions 8-9+.
• Experience with Redhat Satellite (full management) and Redhat cloud.
• Proficiency in virtual environments (VMWARE) and bare-bone server infrastructure.
• Deployment skills, including rack/stack and deployment of bare-metal servers in the datacenter.
• Familiarity with network-based file services (smb, nfs, gpfs) and standard network services (dns, ldap, dhcp).
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools, preferably Atlassian stack (Bitbucket, Bamboo) or equivalent.
• Strong scripting skills in Git, Bash, Python.
• Experience with Puppet/Terraform/Ansible/Packer configuration/automation.
• Good knowledge of security aspects like x509 certificates.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic, Grafana/Prometheus, or Zabbix is a plus.
