For a client we are seeking a Senior Business & Data Analyst

Project Duration: January 2025 - January 2026 (with the option for extension)
Location: Brussel city center

Role:

The Senior Business & Data Analyst will be an integral part of IT project implementations within the Customers, Markets & System Department. The responsibilities include:

• Supporting the business in the design of new products and the evolution of existing ones.
• Defining business expectations, modeling information, and operational processes for IT tool design and evolution.
• Modeling business data for development and evolution, and supporting the development of an enterprise data warehouse.
• Analyzing and describing solution requirements based on business needs.
• Serving as a Product Owner using agile/scrum methodology, establishing product backlogs, and defining priorities with project stakeholders.
• Validating functional analysis from IT to ensure solutions meet specifications.
• Preparing and executing test cases at the end of each sprint.
• Coordinating application implementation across different fields within cross-functional projects.
• Assisting the business in software validation tests (UAT) and coordinating integration tests.
• Training and assisting business users in the optimal use of tools.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of six years of relevant experience.
• Excellent command of Dutch and/or French and a good command of English.
• In-depth knowledge of business process modeling and data modeling.
• Proficiency in writing and validating functional specifications.
• Thorough knowledge of agile/scrum methodology with practical experience as a Scrum Product Owner.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual skills.
• Initial professional experience in the energy sector is preferred.
