IT Security Manager

For a client, we are seeking an IT Security Manager to join the Information Systems Department.

This role is focused on enhancing the resilience of IT operations through effective management of security incidents and vulnerabilities.

Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 3 months
Location: Antwerpen (with the possibility of working from home 2 days per week)

Implement and manage detective and responsive security controls.
Gather and analyze log data, manage vulnerability management processes, and correlate event logs with vulnerability information to identify IT security incidents.
Develop and maintain incident response processes and procedures.
Prioritize and analyze IT security incidents for timely and accurate identification.
Review and implement managed SIEM or managed SOC services.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding IT vulnerabilities and remediation efforts.
Monitor threat information for all major technologies used within the organization.
Advise operational IT teams on priority remediation efforts, including patching and configuration changes.
Produce clear and actionable reports on IT security vulnerabilities and ensure timely follow-up with system and application owners.
Implement incident response and vulnerability management processes as a priority in the first year.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, with vulnerability management, incident management, and IT security.
Minimum 3 years of experience in international and global organizations.
Proficiency in IT technological trends.
Expertise in IT security (SANS certification or similar is preferred).
Experience as an Ethical Hacker is beneficial.
