API Gateway Engineer – B2B Opportunity

Role Description:

As an API Gateway Engineer (B2B), you will work within Agile Production services, collaborating with web squads for the technical design, installation, set-up, industrialization, management, support, and documentation of the API Infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining security policies for multiple customer centers within an efficient Agile SDLC for the API Management platform. You will work cross-functionally with Architects, Engineers, and Business Analysts across multiple teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deliver, and support the integration layer between operating systems and business applications for B2B, B2C, and Web information exchange solutions.
• Focus on the integration of web applications in the Web Infrastructure for the intranet and DMZ.
• Engineer B2B GW & API security policies and configure API Management.
• Deploy, configure, tune, and monitor Axway / Apigee API Gateways.
• Develop complex policies using policy studio and support CI-CD workflow.
• Assist in production support for the Application security squad, including on-call duties.
• Help clients with digital transformation through API Management and API Security.
• Architect solutions based on company standards and best practices.
• Establish and document installations, guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience with at least 3 years in a similar function in WEB Security infrastructure in the banking sector.
• At least 5+ years of IT Security Engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of experience supporting Axway API Gateway systems.
• At least 3 years of experience in the Web security domain with comparable products (Axway API GW, Apigee, F5-ASM).

Technical Skills:

• Experienced in Axway API Gateway Platform version 7.7.x.
• Knowledge of Axway API Gateway Policy Studio, API Manager, API Portal, API Analytics.
• Experience with REST, SOAP WebService, and creating policies for data routing, URL rewrite, etc.
• Generic knowledge of anti-virus, firewalls, application firewalls, load balancers, networks, DMZ.
• Experience with API design, documentation, and securing endpoints with API Key, OAuth 2.0, SSL, Basic Authentication.
• API Gateway CI-CD Implementation using Jenkins and Gitlab.
• Proficient in Linux environment, managing Axway API Gateway and API Manager on Linux servers.
• Experience with Cassandra databases, shell scripting, server resource management, and vulnerability assessments.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Dynatrace, Kibana, Logstash, and Filebeat.
