Active Directory Expert Opportunity
For a client in East Flanders, we are seeking an Active Directory Expert.
Role Overview:
As an Active Directory Expert, you will join the Active Directory (AD) Administrator Support Team. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and support the EMEA-wide Active Directory domain and services, ensuring they are secure, up-to-date, and operating efficiently. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of IT professionals dedicated to delivering top-tier IT services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and efficient support for assigned operations.
- Troubleshoot AD/LDAP authentication and authorization issues.
- Assist in managing and supporting DNS service and name resolution issues and requests.
- Support the management of the Certificate Authority Service.
- Advise on application SSOs using AD Federated Services.
- Support L1 and L2 teams with AD-related issues and inquiries.
- Monitor and audit the complete AD environment.
- Implement AD security measures.
- Ensure Domain Controllers are running the latest version of Windows.
- Implement business-driven changes and integrate AD management tools, services, and applications.
- Analyze the current AD environment to identify challenges and propose solutions for improvement.
- Lead large-scale AD and Identity Management projects independently.
- Collaborate with senior staff to resolve complex incidents.
- Handle communications between EU and Global AD leaders.
- Ensure European and Global AD tasks and requests are actioned.
Mandatory Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Minimum of 10 to 15 years of IT and business/industry work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience managing large-scale Active Directory environments and related services (DNS, CA, ADFS, NPS, DHCP, LDAP(S), GPO, Kerberos & Windows authentication).
- Hands-on experience with AD Domain migrations and Domain Controller installations, configurations, and upgrades.
- Solid ITIL service management & SLA reporting experience.
- Experience in managing third parties and vendors.
Desirable Skills:
- Good understanding of Enterprise Architecture, Information Architecture, and Infrastructure/Solutions Architecture.
- Knowledge of leading infrastructure products and vendors.
- High level of personal integrity and professional handling of confidential matters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate network-related concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to translate business goals and requirements into technical and service specifications.
- Ability to quickly assess the impact of technical issues on the business and make appropriate decisions.
