Junior/Medior Support Engineer Opportunity

Responsibilities:

• Act as a point of contact for the internal client for the operational follow-up of projects.
• Perform quality control and find solutions if necessary.
• Provide technical advice on customer requests and connections.
• Ensure technical installations are maintained.
• Maintain accurate administration by keeping the database up-to-date.
• Configure and document Cisco routers and switches.
• Configure VRFs with associated routing and interfaces on Cisco equipment.
• Configure NAT, DHCP, connections to the National Register and KSZ.
• Provide telephone and on-site assistance for issues and configuration changes.
• Perform maintenance and management of Tacacs.
• Keep ACLs up-to-date and perform proactive network management based on logs.
• Translate detailed network designs into machine configurations according to known templates.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 1 year of proven experience as a support employee in an ICT infrastructure environment.
• Basic knowledge of fiber optic technology (knowledge of SFPs, optical levels, MM/SM fiber, etc.).
• At least 3 years of experience with Cisco equipment and CLI.
• Experience with Switching/Routing and TCP/IP (creating subnets, routing, L2, L3).
• Experience in a similar business context (number of users > 1500).
• Experience with data center networks.
• BA4/BA5 certificate.
• CCNA R&S certificate.
• Knowledge of optical platforms (DWDM, CWDM).

Language Requirements:

Fluent in Dutch.
