Senior Test Automation Engineer Opportunity

Location: Brussels, with a minimum required presence of 2 days per week on-site.

Job Description:

As a senior tester, you will join a cross-functional team responsible for developing application components (front and back end). You will work within the Vulcan team, responsible for Payment and Finance responsibilities (accounting, billing, management of overpayments).

Main Responsibilities:

• Create a test plan and define acceptance criteria with the business and development team for each increment.
• Create and execute integration and end-to-end (E2E) tests.
• Ensure the automation of the execution of created tests.
• Monitor and maintain existing integration and end-to-end test cases.
• Evaluate the priority and criticality of detected bugs and take precise actions.
• Support the analysis and development process by providing critical feedback.
• Participate in organizing user acceptance testing.
• Proactively propose improvement ideas for the part of the application you are responsible for.

Required Technical Skills:

• Advanced mastery of test automation techniques.
• Advanced mastery of object-oriented language (Java is necessary).
• Advanced mastery of XML and SQL (creation of complex queries).
• Advanced mastery of test frameworks.
• Active knowledge of REST and SOAP exchanges.
• Active knowledge of a versioning system such as GIT.
• Recent experience in an agile environment.
• Ability to organize test campaigns and improve quality processes.

Additional Assets:

• ISTQB, TMAP, or equivalent certification.
• Experience in TDD / BDD.
• Knowledge of various testing tools (playwright, mockserver, Postman, Cucumber, Serenity, etc.).
