Role Description:

The Scrum Master is a pivotal figure in projects utilizing the Scrum methodology within an agile framework. The role involves ensuring the project team's comprehensive understanding of the methodology and aiding in maximizing project outcomes. The Scrum Master shields the team from internal and external distractions and ensures the correct application of Agile Methodology. Additionally, the role involves coaching the project team, business lines, and stakeholders on effective interactions.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a delivery owner for X-squads.
• Set up and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review, Sprint Planning, Retrospective) and other meetings.
• Schedule and monitor key steps of the methodology.
• Ensure smooth use of the Scrum methodology and assist the project team in overcoming obstacles.
• Provide support to the Product Owner regarding the Product Backlog.
• Assist the team in delivering the Definition of Done (DoD), Sprint Backlog, etc.
• Track team capacity and velocity metrics for planning and progress.
• Coach and challenge the project team to promote self-organization.
• Remove barriers to team effectiveness and protect the team from distractions.
• Serve as an ambassador of agile methods within the organization.
• Report to superiors on the deployment of the Scrum methodology within projects.
• Manage risks and issues.

Proficient in English and at least one local language.

Required Experience/Knowledge:

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in agile reporting and follow-up tools (e.g., Jira).
• Understanding of automated unit testing, functional testing, and continuous integration tooling.
• Strong knowledge of software development and project management methodologies.
• Ability to combine Agile coaching with delivery ownership.
• Experience in large organizations and managing dependencies in complex environments.
• Experience with multi-cultural teams.
• Strong Agile mindset.

Business Experience:

• Expert knowledge of agile methodologies and techniques (e.g., Kanban).
• Experience managing multiple dependencies in complex organizations, preferably in banking.
