Job Description

The department is looking for a Java Developer to strengthen the team. You will join a dynamic environment where you, along with colleagues and editors, are responsible for creating a strong digital platform. You will primarily work on the digital products, but may also be deployed to other product teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage digital products such as websites and mobile apps.
Work in a Scrum team and contribute to technical analyses and architecture diagrams.
Write reliable code and provide necessary documentation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in professional Java software development.
Proven education with certification or equivalent through experience in Java.
Experience with AWS cloud development (Cloudformation, CloudFront, S3, EC2, SQS, SNS, ECS/Docker, Lambda, SAM, Elastic Beanstalk, Elastic Search, ...).
Proven knowledge and application of Agile development methodology.
Good knowledge of Dutch (CEFR - level C2).

Desired Skills

Convinced of an Agile/DevOps mindset.
Experience with pair and ensemble programming.
Experience with backend-for-frontend pattern (BFF).

Technical Environment

Java 11-21, Micronaut, Spring 5, Spring Security, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Cache, Spring Batch, Spring Boot.
Jenkins pipelines, Git & Bitbucket, REST APIs.
Maven, Gradle, and Ant build tools.
Caching (Redis), Hibernate, PostgreSQL, Python.
