Mission

Join a young and dynamic team within the Optimisation department, responsible for managing gas and electricity portfolios and maximizing asset value in the market. The Portfolio Structuring team acts as a center of expertise, supporting strategic investment initiatives, structuring long-term energy contracts, and engaging with key stakeholders on market design evolutions. As part of the Market Design team, you will focus on the Capacity Remuneration Mechanism (CRM), managing CRM projects, supporting preparations for the 2025-2026 delivery period, coordinating prequalification for CRM auctions, and evaluating regulatory changes. You will ensure alignment of CRM strategy with the evolving energy market.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation for the 2025-2026 CRM Delivery Period:
  • Develop strategies for announcing unavailability and scheduled maintenance within the CRM framework.
  • Define methodologies for availability monitoring and testing.
  • Oversee IT and short-term optimization implementations to ensure CRM requirements are met.
  • Review and update back-office procedures, drafting relevant work instructions.
• Prequalification Process for CRM Auctions (Y-1, Y-2, and Y-4) in 2025:
  • Analyze the prequalification process for energy-constrained assets, including batteries and wind assets.
  • Prepare and submit prequalification files and handle necessary documentation.
  • Manage requests for financial securities and ensure all requirements are met.
• CRM-Related Projects and Activities:
  • Oversee CRM-related initiatives and ensure smooth coordination across teams and departments.
• Assessing Regulatory Changes and CRM Contracts:
  • Analyze changes to CRM regulations and contracts with the TSO, identifying potential impacts on operations.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure proper implementation of changes at both contractual and operational levels.

Job Requirements

• Strong interest in electricity markets, gas markets, and support mechanisms.
• Knowledge of the Capacity Remuneration Mechanism (CRM) is a valuable asset.
• Experience in project management and coordination of complex projects involving multiple people and diverse actions.
• Fluency in at least two languages, either French/English or Dutch/English.
