Job Opportunity: Application Architect

Location: Brussels

Start : March/April

Work Schedule: Full-time, with 2 days per week on-site presence.

Languages: Active knowledge of Dutch, English, and French.

 

Job Description

We are looking to strengthen our application architecture team to support the transformation of our "core business" information system into smaller, isolated entities corresponding to functional domains.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the application architecture team, bringing field experience to complement and evolve the overall architecture plan.
• Contribute to the creation and formalization of architectural rules for application development.
• Continuously train on methods and technologies to improve the information system.
• Ensure the coherence of application architecture in a specific domain, respecting the rules defined by the application architecture team.
• Intervene as needed in the domain: architecture definition, coding, code review, technical coaching, advice to analysts, discussions with the business, etc.
• Encourage and participate in experiments in your domain.

Required Qualifications

• Excellent learning ability, knowledge transfer, and questioning skills.
• Proficiency in writing documentation in English.
• Deep knowledge of the Java language and its ecosystem.
• Ability to manage projects and tasks in an agile manner.
• Knowledge of clean architecture and hexagonal architecture concepts.
• Ability to apply these concepts in real situations.
• Skills in modeling with C4 and Archimate languages.
