Role Description:

We are looking for a strong hands-on Senior Data Engineer with a solid understanding of business and coaching skills. The primary mission is to deliver business-driven digital solutions, dashboards, and ad hoc reporting for end users. The role involves working with data federated in a preparation environment to feed various visualization solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop an action plan to optimize the structure of legacy architecture, considering constraints.
• Collaborate with team members to roll out actions progressively, considering budget, quick wins, team skills, and technology.
• Improve data integration and security by ensuring timely integration of new data sources and compliance with governance protocols.
• Design and implement data models for accurate business process representation and data analysis.
• Implement data lineage tracking for transparency and traceability.
• Develop data historization processes for trend analysis and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain a comprehensive metadata management system.
• Establish robust monitoring systems for data quality and performance.
• Simplify data flows and design processes to enhance efficiency.
• Manage daily batches for consistency and resource utilization.
• Implement data governance requirements.
• Mentor junior colleagues in data curation techniques.

Language Requirements:

• Dutch (or French)
• French (or Dutch)
• Fluent English

Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Computer Sciences, Business, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of data flows and preparation techniques.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL Server, and analytics.
• Proficiency in Alteryx and SQL language, especially Transact-SQL.
• Notions in data visualization solutions and techniques.
• Certification in Design & Data Architecture is a plus.

Technical Experience:

• Confirmed experience with Alteryx, SQL language, and data preparation tools.
• Practical experience with Agile methodology.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to extrapolate from detailed technical views to a global vision.

After the initial onboarding period, there is a possibility for 50% remote work and 50% onsite work.
