Job Description:
Candidates should be based in a country where the client has offices (Belgium, France, UK, Netherlands). UK-based candidates are not accepted unless through an accredited umbrella company, and 4 days a month on-site in Belgium is mandatory.
Division:
Join the IT Purchasing Team within the Supply Chain Department, responsible for sourcing all group non-payroll spend, part of the Finance Division headquartered in Brussels.
Department Streams:
- IT Purchasing Team: Software, hardware, cloud (SAAS, PAAS, IAAS), outsourcing, Telco network, Cyber security.
- Indirect Purchasing Team (non-IT): Facilities, contractors, consultancy, data vendors.
- Governance Team: Processes, policies, control activities for procurement, intra-group and extra-group outsourcing, regulatory adaptation.
Objectives:
- Assist stakeholders in digital transformation programs by capturing needs and developing sourcing category plans.
- Ensure a safe supply chain for customers, stakeholders, and suppliers through due diligence and risk management.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights from individual knowledge and best practices.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Category Manager in developing category sourcing plans, collecting blueprints, visions, needs, and contractual extensions.
- Lead sourcing activities from need collection to PO issuance, including RFP redaction, stakeholder management, offer analysis, negotiations, contract setup, and risk assessment guidance.
- Collaborate in the infrastructure area with potential supervision on buyers for extension activities.
- Share experience and vision with SC teams and stakeholders to contribute to continuous improvement.
- Collect feedback, detect unaddressed needs, and identify collaboration opportunities by raising awareness of sourcing/supply chain risks.
