Job Opportunity: Quarkus Expert

For a client in Brussels, we are looking for a Quarkus expert. We are seeking someone who can take the lead in migrating a critical payment application to the cloud in the short term. This requires a senior profile with leadership experience in a Java development team.

Location

• Brussels, with approximately two days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of a critical application to the cloud.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure a smooth migration.
• Conduct technical analyses and implement solutions.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Strong experience with Quarkus.
• Experience with Java EE7/Jakarta8, preferably with knowledge of Jakarta 10.
• Experience with frameworks such as Jax.rs, JPA, CDI.
• Familiarity with JBoss 7.3 and Flyway.
• Experience with Junit 4/5 and GIT.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub workflows.
• Knowledge of Oracle/SQL.
• Skills in technical analysis and use of PlantUML.

Desired Skills and Certifications

• Strong focus and listening skills.
• Experience with IntelliJ.

Language Requirements

• Fluent in Dutch and English.
