Senior Scrum Master

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master. The Scrum Master will play a key role in facilitating Agile methodologies and ensuring the smooth execution of projects. This role requires a strong understanding of Scrum, the ability to coach teams, and a proactive approach to overcoming project challenges.

The Scrum Master will guide cross-functional teams to ensure efficient Agile delivery, protect teams from distractions, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Agile practitioner to drive business success by optimizing workflows and promoting Agile best practices.

Your Role & Responsibilities

1. Project Follow-up & Facilitation

• Set up and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, etc.)
• Ensure key Agile methodology steps are followed throughout the project lifecycle
• Guarantee smooth adoption of Scrum practices and assist the team in overcoming obstacles
• Provide support to the Product Owner for backlog management and refinement
• Track team capacity, velocity, and progress metrics to optimize sprint planning
• Help the team deliver high-quality results by reinforcing the Definition of Done (DoD)

2. Agile Coaching & Methodology Enforcement

• Act as a coach and mentor for the Scrum Team, fostering self-organization
• Challenge and guide teams through Agile best practices and problem-solving techniques
• Remove impediments that hinder team efficiency and effectiveness
• Serve as an Agile ambassador, promoting Agile values and principles within the organization
• Ensure Agile risk and issue management practices are applied effectively
• Report to leadership on the adoption and effectiveness of Scrum practices within projects

Required Skills & Experience

Education & Experience

Academic background in IT, Business, or related fields
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile teams

Technical Skills

✔ Strong knowledge of Agile reporting & follow-up tools (e.g., Rally)
✔ Understanding of automated unit testing, functional testing, and continuous integration tools
✔ Sound knowledge of software development and project management methodologies

Business Knowledge

✔ Experience in (International) Payments domain
✔ Solid understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.)
