Mainframe Developer

We are seeking a skilled mainframe developer with expertise in Natural and COBOL programming languages. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining mainframe applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Natural and COBOL programs on IBM mainframes.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to programming standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, quality assurance teams, and project managers to understand business requirements and develop technical solutions accordingly.
• Develop technical design documentation, test plans, and user guides.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues, provide solutions, and apply fixes.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks and projects.
• Stay updated with industry trends and developments and continuously improve technical skills.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or similar through experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mainframe development with expertise in Natural and COBOL programming languages.
• Experience with IBM mainframe systems and technologies.
• Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software engineering principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
