Project manager

The programs deliverables are mobile apps, cloud backend in Azure, Web interfaces and integration with legacy systems.
Core activities will be on the TDO-projects : eDrive, eShunting , eSpeed, TraCo, Digiforms
Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee projects related to mobile app development, cloud backend in Azure, web interfaces, and legacy system integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful program delivery.
• Drive strategic initiatives aligned with TDOs goals.
• Manage project scopes, timelines, and stakeholder expectations of all projects
Mandatory Conformity Criteria ( Must have skills and experience ) :
• Education: Master’s degree.
• IT project Management Experience: 7+ years in IT roles directly involved with custom software delivery for multiple projects and multiple clients
• Project management framework (PM² Agile): minimum 5 years of experience in managing budgets, planning, scope, and gating of large (1M+) IT projects. hands on experience with Agile, Kanban and SAFe
• Stakeholder management: extensive (100+ instances) experience with presenting project progress at steercos to C-level managers
• Resource management: 5+ years of experience in managing resources across projects and projecting an accurate and predictable demand throughout the project lifespan
• Release and environment management: 5+ years of experience with coordinating releases of parallel projects in multiple different non-PRD and PRD environments. hands on experience with Azure devOps Jira Releases, and good pragmatic knowledge of versioning control of code ( Git )
• Affinity with cloud native software projects: 5+ years of working with teams that deliver software in a cloud native environment
• Language proficiency: Fluent (C1 or C2) in English and fluent in either Dutch or French with a minimum of a B2 level for the respective non-fluent language
• Willingness to travel and availability: Open to travelling to any SNCB location in Belgium and availability for “go lives”: overnight or during the weekend as required
• Experience with offshore and decentralized teams: 5+ years of experience with working in a decentralized team environment that includes both on-site and offshore resources
Highly appreciated or willing to learn in own time:
• Scrum / SAFE
• RTE
• Change Management
In addition to the previously mentioned responsibilities, this senior program manager will also lead and collaborate with the agile team, including Scrum Masters, Solution Designers, Analysts, and Product Owners. Their ability to foster effective teamwork and align agile practices with program goals will be crucial.

In a typical scenario, remote work for 3 days is feasible. However, based on the hiring manager’s requests and urgent situations, additional remote work days may be necessary. Flexibility is key!
