Job Opportunity: Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (.NET/Azure/Angular/Vue)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Regime: Full-time for long term

Location: Ghent (remote work is very flexible and negotiable)

 

Project Description:

You will work on the GECKO project – Generic Quality Control, which supports the Flemish authentic data sources in quality control for geographical and other structured data. You will be part of the Data Platform department, within the Base Map Flanders team. In addition to the elements mentioned below, each sprint provides space for technical improvements suggested by the team.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Technically develop and implement User Stories.
• Write unit tests and integration tests.
• Participate in daily standup meetings and technical consultations.
• Manage the technical backlog.
• Share knowledge and feedback with the architect.
• Participate in backlog refinement sessions and technical discussions.
• Respond to questions from users and colleagues.
• Maintain the existing architecture and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Detect and solve problems in code.
• Contribute to all aspects of software development.

Deliverables:

• Well-structured, maintainable, and fully tested code.
• Check-in code with clear comments.
• Update technical and functional release notes.
• Develop technical documentation.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience with .Net Core REST services (Senior, 5 years).
• Proven experience with ASP.NET Web API (Senior, 5 years).
• Experience with hosting in Azure.
• Experience with Azure DevOps (Git, CI/CD, Azure Pipelines).
• Experience with EF Core and Microsoft Azure SQL for storage (Medior, 3 years).
• Experience with Agile Scrum (Medior, 3 years).
• Experience in developing .NET-based applications (Senior, 5 years).
• Training with certification or equivalent through experience in .Net (C#), ASP.NET.
• Dutch speaking at European CEFR - level C2.

• Experience in leading a development team and coaching developers.
• Efficient execution of programming tasks: coding, testing, and debugging.
• Knowledge and experience with Agile development methodology, with the ability to take a leading role.
