Data Engineer Opportunity

For a client we are seeking a Data Engineer.

Responsibilities and Activities:

• Develop and maintain data models using Ralph Kimball’s dimensional modelling techniques.
• Utilize superior SQL skills for data manipulation and management.
• Implement and manage data solutions using PowerBI, Databricks, and Data Lakehouse.
• Leverage Azure analytics suite tools, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL.
• Develop scripts and applications using Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and quality.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in data engineering with a strong focus on SQL and data modelling.
• Proficiency in PowerBI, Databricks, and Azure analytics tools.
• Solid understanding of Python and SQL (mainly DML).

Desired Skills and Certifications:

• Familiarity with Sparx Enterprise Architect for modelling.
• Experience with Agile practices, particularly Scrum.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD processes.
• Understanding of Spark and data science concepts.
• Experience with TimeXtender for data warehouse automation.
• High-level knowledge of SAP Business Expertise.
• Previous experience in the energy sector is a plus.
