Senior Accountant

Location: Antwerp region

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and process Accounts Payable (AP) Supply Chain (SC) related invoices to ensure timely payments.
• Assist in implementing new SC AP flows with the transportation team and prepare flow for automatic processing.
• Oversee and assist with the finance aspect of the automated Diverts process.
• Resolve and monitor SAP error lists for AP invoices from various systems.
• Investigate payment reminders/statements from suppliers and respond to internal AP-related inquiries.
• Execute weekly payment runs.
• Monitor the aging of vendor balances.
• Provide invoice samples for various audits (Customs, financial, or HR-related audits).
• Perform additional tasks due to SEC requirements, such as assembling test case material based on testing scenarios.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in a similar accounting role.
• Proficiency in SAP and related financial systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for handling supplier inquiries and internal questions.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Coupa, and IDOC invoices is a plus.
• Familiarity with audit processes and requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Language Proficiency:

Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Additional language skills are an advantage.
