For a client, we are seeking a System Engineer.

Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Assist in server architecture for deploying new applications and middleware: analyze requirements, design new or modify existing architecture, conduct testing and proof of concept, create implementation projects, and collaborate with the team lead for deployment.
- Evaluate requirements against security and manageability considerations.
- Interface with clients, primarily in IT, regarding your area of expertise.
- Provide third-line troubleshooting for complex issues.
- Support daily operational tasks such as deploying and updating in-house developed applications in acceptance and production environments (primarily Windows IIS & SQL based).
- Configure F5 load balancing VIPs for web applications.
- Administer core supporting applications: RabbitMQ, Redis Cache, and other shared technologies (knowledge of these products is advantageous).
- Enforce and monitor security guidelines and standards.
- Manage monitoring, change, and patch management of the environment.
- Ensure optimal 2nd/3rd level support, interfacing with Microsoft and other third parties.
- Maintain up-to-date operating and installation documentation.
- Participate in the duty role (24/7, 1 in 6 weeks).
Requirements:
- Proven experience in supporting applications on Linux Redhat (deploying applications, verifying logs, monitoring system health and performance, creating scripts).
- Over 10 years of recent expert experience with Windows Server (2012-2019).
- Native proficiency in French or Dutch, with the ability to speak and understand the other language; English is mandatory for documentation and international meetings, German is a plus.
- Must possess a driver's license and car (required for the duty role).
- Availability for the duty role.
- Proven knowledge of IIS management and website deployment.
- Broad IT knowledge covering networking, security, end-user, and ITIL concepts.
- Knowledge of PowerShell.
- Familiarity with MS-SQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, NEO4J, or Redis Cache is a plus (on-the-job coaching/training will be provided for missing knowledge).
- Understanding of firewalls and network load balancing concepts (product knowledge will be provided).
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Analytical skills for both architectural and troubleshooting tasks.
- Pragmatic and customer-oriented mindset.
- Presentation and Visio drawing skills.
- Must be willing and able to learn new products or technologies within a year if not already known.
