Job Title: Tech Backbone ERP Deployment Lead

Location: Oost-Vlaanderen

Duration: Full-time, long-term (over 2 years)

On-site Requirement: Approximately 50% on-site, with flexibility over time

Role Overview:

The Business Transformation Project aims to implement significant technology changes within the current IT & Data Business Architecture, including the deployment of a new ERP System (S/4HANA). The role of the Tech Backbone ERP Deployment Lead is to spearhead the implementation of new technologies supporting the Manufacturing Operational Systems (MOS), ensuring alignment with IT & Data and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand current Manufacturing Operational Systems Processes and the Transformation Project Scope to drive technology selection.
• Design and configure the MES system, defining system parameters, master data, workflows, and user roles based on business requirements.
• Ensure the adoption of the "clean core concept" and apply market-proven solutions before any system customization.
• Oversee data migration and validation from legacy MES/QIS systems to the new system, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
• Conduct testing and quality assurance of new systems, verifying functionality, performance, security, and usability.
• Manage the deployment and go-live of new systems, ensuring readiness and availability for live business operations.
• Provide stabilization and support, monitoring system performance, resolving issues, and offering technical and functional guidance to end-users.
• Facilitate user adoption and training, delivering appropriate training and documentation to enhance user satisfaction.

Expected Deliverables:

• Develop a detailed deployment plan and schedule for MOS processes, aligned with project scope and objectives.
• Deliver high-quality, fully-functional MOS that meets business requirements and industry standards.
• Ensure a smooth and successful MOS deployment and go-live, minimizing disruption to business operations.
• Maintain a stable and reliable MOS environment, promptly addressing any issues or defects.

Collaboration:

Work with various internal and external parties, including system vendors, IT & Data team, Business Process Owners, end-users, senior management, and the project steering committee.

Complexity:

• Manage multiple concurrent deployment activities across different teams and locations.
• Ensure alignment of deployment plans with project objectives and milestones.
• Maintain quality and completeness of system design and configuration.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in MOS/MES implementation, preferably in FMCG or a multinational environment.
• Solid understanding of MES/MOS applications, business processes, and industry best practices.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Technical and analytical skills for troubleshooting ERP implementation issues.
